Charlotte Figi brought awareness to the use of cannabidiol or CBD for medical use. When she was five years old, she was diagnosed with Dravet syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy. Charlotte passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at the age of 13 and her death was attributed to complications related to COVID-19.
